Law and Legislation
Why do we live in a society where we can not earn a living doing the things we are passionate about? The things that make us happy and inspire us? Instead alot of people work in jobs they hate that constrict them and do not provide income to support themselves and their familes leaving many to suffer while the few prosper.
There are so many issues happening right now all over the world in regards to health, housing, our freedoms and the demands placed upon us.Questions are being raised in relation to such subjects as the ownership of land, what we are 'allowed' to do on it and suggestions that we are governed by consent.
As a group we do not want to be a consumers and we do not want to be force fed services (often to the detriment of other peoples standards of living) We would like to be able to build, create and learn/teach new useful skills. We would like to help create a responsible, connected community and a sustainable, green local economy. The question is this- when big governments talk about sustainability are they talking about corporate sustainability and keeping afloat a flawed economic system that benefits the few over the many?
For thousands of years there have been laws passed to mold and control society, since world war II there has been a deluge of legislation passed that covers nearly every aspect of our lives. We believe it is in the peoples best interests to understand these acts and how they really work.Whilst there are many people more knowlageable than us in this area (and massive respect to them for their inquiring minds!) the reaches of such restrictions can not be ignored and after all it is about time that the people of the world were listened to and able to have a say in how they live their lives- the governments are SUPPOSED to work for us after all.
To this end i have placed a few links below should you wish to delve into them.We a currently looking at the localism act (it is an open source document) and finding out what its implimentation means and how it can be used to our advantage.
